Everyday inclusive entrepreneurs are grappling with reality at the bottom of the pyramid, doing the grunt work of adapting to local demands, and building the solutions to poverty that can pay for themselves. I am passionate about adding to their success.
Andrew is responsible for iBAN’s activities in Africa. He supports companies to scale up their IB models and strengthen connections to impact investors.
In West Africa, Andrew worked with the WARC Group, an inclusive agribusiness consultancy, and Solon Capital Partners, an African focused investment firm. He advised inclusive businesses on how to reach scale, strengthen their impact, and attract funding from impact investors. Prior to this, he oversaw randomised impact evaluations as Director of Innovations for Poverty Action’s Sierra Leone and Liberia office. As an economic policy advisor, Andrew also advised Liberia’s Ministry of Planning and National Investment Commission on negotiating concessions with foreign direct investors.
Andrew holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from the London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a bachelors in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Canada.
