Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) is a non-profit organisation working with businesses, foundations, governments and communities to build local and global partnerships. CNFA designs and implements enterprise-based, agricultural development initiatives to facilitate market access, enhance agribusiness competitiveness, increase productivity and improve access to inputs and credit.

The GlobalCAD Network is a knowledge platform where professionals from different disciplines work towards development and sustainability. The network consists of a strategic advisory centre for development, a social documentary producer, a centre that promotes inclusive business and a foundation that promotes culture and entrepreneurship.

The Global Resilience Challenge is a competitive grant process that brings together multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary teams to identify and help build resilience for populations in the Sahel, the Horn of Africa, and South and Southeast Asia. Seed grants amount to up to USD 250,000; scaling-up grants to USD 1 million.

The Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF) is a challenge fund to drive and support innovative approaches to improving the quality, value for money, and sustainability of basic services in the education, health, and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sectors in Tanzania. HDIF is not a research grant and requires applicants from organisations with at least five employees to submit innovations that have been tested.

The HIF is a globally-recognised programme leading on the development and testing of innovation in the humanitarian system. Established in 2011, it was the first of its kind: an independent, grant-making programme open to the entire humanitarian community. It now leads the way in funding, supporting, and managing innovation at every stage of the innovation process.
The HIF’s portfolio of funded projects has informed a more detailed understanding of what successful innovation looks like, and what it can achieve for the humanitarian community. This work is leading the global conversation on innovation in humanitarian response.

The IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative convenes public-private partnerships focusing on smallholder farmer inclusion, mitigation of deforestation and forest degradation, living wages and improved working conditions, responsible agrochemical management, and gender equality. IDH aims to create joint design, co-funding and prototyping of new approaches.

Securing Water for Food supports farmers with innovations that enable the production of more food with less water and/or make more water available for food production, processing, and distribution. Its technical assistance facility provides additional services to each challenge innovator.

TLcom Capital LLP is venture capital firm based in Nairobi, Lagos and London investing in tech and innovation companies in Sub Saharan Africa across all stages of the venture capital cycle. TLcom has set up the TIDE (Technology and Innovation for Developing Economies) Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at providing non-investment services to promote local entrepreneurship in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA), as a key to promote local sustainable development processes.
