This report highlights the success of the net-metering model in the Philippines, in which consumers are encouraged to buy solar panels to generate savings on their electricity bill, tap into renewable energy and in effect become producers themselves. It discusses how to finance this model, from loans to leasing and gives some examples of how the system has worked in the Philippines.
