This report showcases the importance of women and gender equality for agricultural and rural development on a global level. The report examines gender issues in relation to a number of different related topics including agricultural extension, access to land, food & nutrition security. For each topic the diverse obstacles related to discrimination against women in many developing countries are pointed out and corresponding activities and potential solutions to tackle gender inequality are provided.
