Aggregating farmer/worker data at the national or international level allows Standards to better understand the farmers/workers they are reaching. However, both data collection and aggregation is difficult when farmers/workers do not fit into pre-defined categories. This is particularly relevant for women, who are often working as family laborers. This webinar will be an opportunity to discuss issues around farmer and worker categorization and classification. Better Cotton Initiative will share their experiences and promising practices to reach women through gender-sensitive definitions and inclusive metrics, and discuss how this could be improved and adapted going forward.
