This report presents findings from a study on Pay-As-You-Go Financing 'PAYG' systems, exploring key opportunities for accelerating the market, particularly in Kenya. It focuses on lamps and pico-solar home systems that are sold to end-users coupled with a credit mechanism, and it highlights insights based on data and observations from two commercial organisations delivering PAYG-enabled off-grid power in Kenya: SunnyMoney and M-KOPA.
