This case study analyses the business model, market segment, successes and challenges, and scalability of e-Choupal, an internet kiosk and virtual market place where farmers can transact directly with other actors. It reviews how the transparent process is giving farmers more control over their choices, a higher profit margin on their crops, and access to information that improves their productivity.
