This report about a private sector mapping project takes a closer look at the current motives, strategies, incentives, obstacles, and benefits as perceived by firms to enter untapped majority markets. For this purpose, 521 interviews in thirteen countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) were conducted.

This report details the ADB's strategic framework for its operations to 2020. It reaffirms ADB's vision of an Asia and Pacific free of poverty and its mission to help developing member countries improve the living conditions and quality of life of their people. 'Strategy 2020' identifies the drivers of change which shape its operations, such as developing the private sector, encouraging good governance, supporting gender equity, helping developing countries gain knowledge, and expanding the ADB's partnerships.

This report deals with the positions and experience of various development agencies with industrial clusters and productive chains as a result of their meeting on "Competitiveness of Small Enterprises: Clusters, Business Environment and Local Development". It provides a detailed view on validated industrial cluster approaches and illustrates what to consider to run a successful development project. The role of cluster for social inclusion and poverty alleviation is highlighted as one aspect.
