For direct investments, the firm invests in incubation, early stage, seed/start-up, and growth capital. The firm’s focus areas include: microfinance, social venture investment, and affordable private schools in low-income communities of emerging markets. It also invests in early-stage enterprises providing catalytic innovation and technologies which includes information, communication and technology (ICT). It makes investments between USD 1 million and USD 5 million.

Gray Matters Capital (GMC), is an impact investing foundation, which provides risk capital to entrepreneurs and social ventures. Funds are deployed through seed-stage investment vehicles with investments ranging from USD 50,000 to USD250,000 and venture capital stage investments ranging from USD 250,000 to USD 2 million. It a sister concern of Gray Ghost Ventures.

Kois Invest is a private equity firm specializing in direct and fund of fund investments. The firm primarily invests in the health, educations and living environment sectors. It also promotes the development of the Impact Bond Mechanism by structuring, placing and managing Impact Bonds. Funds under management include an Indian Private Equity Fund and a fund called Inclusio which focuses on affordable housing.
