You have not yet heard of the Responsible and Inclusive Business Hubs (RIBH)? Then now is the time to do so! The Responsible and Inclusive Business Hubs (RIBHs) provide interested companies with knowledge, networks and support in sustainable development to pilot both profitable and sustainable business models. With that, partners discover ways to integrate low-income communities into their value chain and to affiliate CSR activities close to their core business. Current locations are Jakarta, Pretoria and Cairo, but the experts offer consulting services in the whole region.

For the creation of sustainable business operations that benefit low-income communities and that take into account CSR activities close to core business, RIBHs generate and pilot training/consulting formats. They support the development and implementation of concrete project ideas and connect companies together with further relevant stakeholders. Through this, the RIBHs act as a mediator between German development cooperation, local and international companies, and partner organizations on-site. The experiences of the RIBHs are taken into consideration in German and local political processes and contribute to the political orientation of international cooperation.

After all, the RIBHs are very successful in what they are doing. Their consulting services allowed the social business Baladini to professionalize its kitchen incubator in Egypt. The kitchen incubator offers women living in local areas a central space for the preparation of traditional and local food, which will be sold at urban markets. Baladini’s well-targeted education helps women to become a successful entrepreneur in food business and catering. With this purpose in mind, Baladini developed an optimized training concept in cooperation with the RIBHs. Fore more information on the success of Baladini in Egypt read this blog.
