The report seeks to develop an initial understanding of the social enterprises which focus on improving the lives of the underserved and of the impact investing ecosystem in the North Eastern Region of India by exploring existing social entrepreneurial activities and the operating environment. It provides insights into key sectors, the properties of an enabling environment and highlights potential areas for the financial and non-financial intervention of the government and other key stakeholders.
