We met Sumitha Kale of DGPS, an organisation working in the Deccan area to improve civic facilities. They are familiar with the area, stakeholders and key people. Through her we got an idea of the basic needs of the area and began surveying around.

We met Mrs Madhuritai Sahasrabuddhe, the corporator of the new area we are looking at:

" Ever since I was elected, it has been my dream to win an award for the cleanest ward in the city. The PMC has recently announced a special cleanliness campaign where all the wards will be competing for the Rs 2 crore prize for the Cleanest Ward. I’m sure that with the help of the PMC sanitation staff, Swach, DGPS and all the residents of this ward, we can make our Prabhag 36, the cleanest one in the city! ”

Awaiting response...
