This report deals with the positions and experience of various development agencies with industrial clusters and productive chains as a result of their meeting on "Competitiveness of Small Enterprises: Clusters, Business Environment and Local Development". It provides a detailed view on validated industrial cluster approaches and illustrates what to consider to run a successful development project. The role of cluster for social inclusion and poverty alleviation is highlighted as one aspect.
