This report maps social enterprises in Sri Lanka within the agriculture sector. It discusses the challenges faced including: limited use of technology and lack of appropriate technical skills for farming; lack of skilled and unskilled labour; and limited market access and ability to know daily market price information. It identifies recommendations for donors and development agencies in this space, and advocates for the creation of an accelerator program that strengthens agriculture social enterprises and helps them access different types of investment capital.
