One of the highlights of this year’s upcoming Sankalp summit in India – the Sankalp Unconvention Summit 2014 – is a new, exciting initiative that will bring together innovative, small and growing social enterprises from around the world on one platform. From our experience of running what has come to be the largest platform for social enterprises in the world, we recognize the importance of innovation, collaboration and knowledge exchange in this sector. That is why we are inviting inclusive businesses to participate in this initiative called the Global Innovation Corridor (GIC).

The objective of the GIC is to create a collaborative environment for innovative entrepreneurs to showcase their high-impact initiatives. It is also an opportunity for enterprises to present themselves to a global audience including donors, funds, investors and potential business partners. Through the GIC we hope to push the traditional boundaries of knowledge exchange and to create a new frontier for dialogue and outcome-based collaborations. The ultimate goal is to bring together businesses from different countries and continents to help replicate, adapt and extend best suited business models and technologies to collectively shape a more inclusive world.

If you run or work in a small and growing business that is making an impact at the base of the pyramid in a developing country then join us at the Global Innovation Corridor. If you are keen to cross-learn, collaborate, find partners, raise capital or simply want to showcase your business model, innovation or service to a global audience, then we want to hear from you!

Other key benefits for participating enterprises at the Global Innovation Corridor include:

  • Recognition and visibility at the Sankalp Unconvention Summit in India
  • Network with 1000+ Global Social Entrepreneurs, Investors and Enablers
  • India Immersion with Peer-to-Peer knowledge sessions
  • Facilitated structured meetings with Indian and Global counterparts
  • Opportunity for 5 hand-picked enterprises to Pitch in front of a global audience
  • Opportunity for selected enterprises to be part of the Global Marketplace

The GIC will take place alongside the Sankalp Unconvention Summit 2014 in Mumbai from the 9th to the 11th of April.
