The case study introduces the business model of the 2009 founded South African enterprise All Women Recycling (AWR) that recycles discarded plastic PET-bottles and creates greeting cards and gift boxes. AWR does not only address plastic waste pollution, but also tackles unemployment amongst black women. The paper also analyses the social, environmental and economic impact of AWR.
