The first-ever AGROW Awards 2018 - as part of the second ASEAN Agriculture Summit, which will be held this October 1, 2018 - will recognize the outstanding achievements of businesses, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the agriculture sector. The term AGROW is a portmanteau for the words “agro”, a prefix used to relate to agriculture, and “grow”, which pertains to the development of agribusinesses. Awards to be conferred include the Golden AGROW Award, Inclusive Business, Financial Inclusivity, Young Agripreneur, Inspiring Cooperative, and Groundbreaker. With the theme “Champions and Emerging Icons of Inclusive Business, Technology, and Innovation in Agriculture,” the summit, organized by ASEAN BAC Philippines, together with Go Negosyo and the Department of Agriculture Philippines, aims to inspire and empower stakeholders in the industry by recognizing those who have greatly contributed to the advancement of agribusiness.
